Be Considerate When Posting

Part of keeping things here "low-key" involves asking people posting publicly to use Mastodon's content warning feature when discussing topics that may be controversial or distressing. A good rule of thumb is to put a content warning on anything that may contribute to "doomscrolling".

However, this rule will not and cannot be strictly enforced for a lot of reasons. The goal is to keep things fun and stress-free for everyone, not to cause anxiety or to tone police.

Personal Accounts Only

We love seeing organizations and projects on the Fediverse, but we are currently only interested in hosting accounts meant for personal use. There are lots of other great instances out there if you would like to create an account for your group, project, or organization.

No Adult/NSFW Content

Mastodon is federated which means you'll see and be able to follow users from other servers. These servers may have different policies regarding adult content.

We try to limit the reach of remote users and servers that post public, untagged content which violates our policy. This is to make sure it isn't shown to our users who may not want to see it.

For our users, this policy is strictly enforced.
